Relief from Osteoarthritis Pain Without Surgery

Oneida Health is proud to offer low-dose radiation therapy for osteoarthritis, providing a non-surgical option for patients suffering from chronic joint pain.

How It Works

Low-dose radiation is used to treat painful joints affected by osteoarthritis, helping reduce inflammation, ease pain, and improve mobility.

What Patients Can Expect

  • Short treatments (about 15 minutes total)
  • Treatments delivered every other day, Monday–Friday
  • Typically 1–6 total sessions
  • Many patients experience significant pain relief and improved mobility within a few months

A Simple, Patient-Focused Process

  1. Referral from an orthopedic provider or primary care physician
  2. Consultation scheduled within 5 business days
  3. Planning session with CT imaging (about 30 minutes)
  4. Personalized treatment plan finalized by the care team
  5. Treatment scheduled at a convenient time for the patient
